Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €129.01 billion in January (previous year: 105.01 billion / previous month: €104.86 billion).
€124.97 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €101.35 billion / previous month: €101.33 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €5.68 billion (previous year: €4.61 billion / previous month: €5.63 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €4.04 billion (previous year: €3.66 billion / previous month: €3.53 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €97.77 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €29.39 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.64 billion, in certificates €1.14 billion and in funds €0.07 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in January was SAP SE with €8.07 billion. Deutsche Lufthansa AG led the MDAX with €907.52 million, while Renk Group AG led the SDAX index with €252.56 million. In the ETF segment the iShares Core S&P 500 UCITS ETF USD (Acc) generated the largest volume with €951.07 million.
