We promote innovative and effective approaches to strengthen social cohesion
Demographic change, migration, equal opportunities and digital transformation are the major social issues of our time. Our activities are designed to promote social cohesion and contribute to solving these major challenges. In doing so, we prefer approaches in which business, politics and society work together.
During our "Social Days", which we organize at various locations, our employees become active themselves and dedicate a day to a charitable cause. This "hands-on volunteering" is their direct contribution to social cohesion and at the same time strengthens their team spirit.
We also support selected associations and institutions with donations.
One of our employees’ favorite projects is the Christmas wish list campaign which takes place at some of our locations, such as Luxembourg, London and Eschborn. In cooperation with social institutions, Deutsche Börse has been fulfilling children's wishes for Christmas for several years now. Our employees can take the children’s wish lists and fulfil their wishes. In this way, children from disadvantaged families also receive Christmas presents.
We attach particular importance to the issue of diversity. Our LGBTIQ network “marketPride” is active at five locations and has more than 100 members. Once a year during the summer months, we also celebrate “Pride Month” to support the LGBTIQ community and create an inviting and inclusive work environment
Some projects run throughout the year; the Corporate Engagement lottery is one of them. Employees can submit suggestions for social organisations or projects at any time, from which a winner is drawn each quarter and receives a donation.
