The Deutsche Börse Visitors Center offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the world of financial markets. Interactive learning modules, such as a trading simulator and a stock market quiz, provide an engaging way to learn the basics of wealth creation and taking first steps towards becoming a successful investor. Children, adolescents, and adults benefit from target group-specific educational offers that convey economic knowledge in a vivid manner. Explore the history and future of share trading and expand your financial knowledge in a dynamic environment. 

In addition to simply visiting the exhibition and visitors’ gallery, we offer free lectures on a variety of financial topics from Monday to Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Introductory lecture

This lecture is designed for anyone interested in the history of the stock exchange and its evolution. In addition to an overview of the history of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the lecture will cover the following topics: securities, trading, market segments, indices, and Deutsche Börse AG as a company. No prior knowledge is required to attend the event.

DAX lecture

The DAX is a prominent index that contains many well-known companies and is widely covered in the media.  However, what precisely is the DAX? This presentation provides a more detailed insight into the DAX. How was it established? How does it work? How is it made up? Our presentation addresses these and many other questions about the DAX, Germany's leading index.

ETF lecture

This presentation on ETFs provides an overview of their origins, purpose, and highlights the difference of passive and active investment strategies. Additionally, it provides insight into the various types of ETFs and their characteristics.    

Getting started with crypto currencies

This lecture is an introductory overview of crypto currencies and blockchain technology, focusing on Bitcoin and Ether.

IPO lecture 

The IPO lecture is targeted at visitors who have a basic knowledge of the stock market and are interested in a more detailed examination of the topic "How does an initial public offering (IPO) work?"

History of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange

The year 1820 marks a significant milestone in the history of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange: Trading in shares began with the Austrian National Bank’s shares from Vienna. But how exactly did trading in shares begin? This and other questions about the stock market and its history will be answered in our presentation.

Entry

Visiting the exhibition with a view of the trading hall is free of charge, both with and without a lecture. 
The Booking of a timeslot is required.

Reservations

• Please check the website for available dates. There you will also find our booking tool.
• A maximum of 70 people can be registered per visit.
• A maximum of 40 people can be registered per presentation.  

Admission

• Admission to the Visitors Center requires presentation of the confirmation email (printed or digital). 
• All visitors 16 years of age and older must present valid photo identification. Visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
• A security and baggage check will be conducted prior to the visit. Sharp or dangerous objects (knives, scissors, irritant gas, deodorant sprays, glass bottles, beverage cans, etc.) are not permitted and must be surrendered at the security checkpoint. Items will be returned after the visit.
• For security reasons, large pieces of luggage (trolleys, gym bags, suitcases) are not permitted. Jackets, small bags and backpacks (up to 31 x 50 cm) may be taken into the exhibition. Bags exceeding these dimensions will be opened and inspected by security personnel. The consumption of food or beverages is not permitted in the exhibition or gallery. Animals are not allowed in the Visitors Center.

Accessibility

For visitors with limited mobility, the exhibition areas of the Deutsche Börse Visitors Center are accessible via an elevator. It is possible to register in advance for assistance when entering or leaving the IHK building.

Photography

• Photography without flash is permitted for personal use. 
• The use of additional lighting, tripods or other structures is not permitted. 
• Photography and video recording for advertising or editorial purposes are strictly prohibited during a visit to the exhibition.
