New on Xetra: equity ETF from First Trust offers access to the semiconductor industry worldwide

Since Friday, a new exchange-traded fund issued by First Trust has been tradable via Xetra and Börse Frankfurt.

The First Trust Bloomberg Global Semiconductor Supply Chain UCITS ETF invests in companies in the semiconductor industry. The focus is on companies in the manufacturing segment and from high-growth end markets. The manufacturing segment includes companies that manufacture equipment and components, supply raw materials, or provide foundry services to the semiconductor industry. High-growth end markets include companies that develop chips for the automotive, industrial, and computer industries.

The three largest holdings are Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (10.92 per cent), NVIDIA (10.79 per cent) and ASML Holding (8.65 per cent).
