New equity ETF from UBS on Xetra: access to major sustainable companies in the eurozone

A new exchange-traded fund from UBS Asset Management has been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since today.

The UBS ETF (LU) EURO STOXX 50 ESG UCITS ETF tracks the performance of the EURO STOXX 50 ESG Index, which is based on the EURO STOXX 50 Index. Investors gain access to 50 large companies in the eurozone, taking ESG criteria into account.

Standardised ESG exclusion criteria are applied, i.e. companies from business areas such as weapons, thermal coal, unconventional oil and gas and tobacco are excluded. The aim is to reduce company-specific risks. Subsequently, the companies with the lowest ESG ratings are replaced by companies in the EURO STOXX 50 Index with a higher ESG rating from the same ICB supersector.
