Release date: 17 Sep 2024

036/2024 T7 Release 13.0: Important enhancement of the ETI short order message layouts to support the Midpoint trading functionality Xetra Circular 036/24

1. Introduction

For Participants using Short Order Message layouts, Deutsche Börse will extend the Short Order Message layouts to support midpoint or midpoint limit (sweep) orders from the launch of T7 Release 13.0 on Monday, 18 November 2024. This adaptation requires adaptation by all participants, regardless of any subsequent use of Xetra Midpoint.

The following short layout messages, together with their template IDs, will be affected by the changes:

  • New Order Single (short layout) (Template ID: 10125)
  • New Order Single or Multi Leg (short layout) (Template ID: 10139)
  • Replace Order Single (short layout) (Template ID: 10126)
  • Replace Order Single or Multi Leg (short layout) (Template ID: 10141)

To support the midpoint trading functionality, the fields MinQty (Tag 110) and MidPointType (Tag 30388), which are already part of the standard layouts, will also be added to the short layouts.

The respective ETI documentation will be updated regarding the Short Layout messages and published on Monday, 23 September 2024:

  • T7 Release 13.0 - Enhanced Trading Interface - Manual, Version 3
  • T7 Release 13.0 - Enhanced Trading Interface - Cash Message Reference, Version 3

The enhanced short message layouts will be supported in the T7 Release 13.0 Simulation environment from Tuesday, 1 October 2024 onwards. The standard format will remain unchanged. Please refer to the T7 Release 13.0 simulation calendar for the daily availability of the T7 simulation. In production, the new message layouts will be mandatory for all Participants by Monday, 18 November 2024

2. Required action

All participants will be required to use the new ETI version from the time of introduction in the T7 Release 13.0 Simulation environment.

Participants who are interested in using the midpoint trading functionality in conjunction with the enhanced short layouts, must adapt their applications accordingly to use the new fields. All remaining participants who are using short message layouts, must recompile their applications and initialize the new fields with "ETI new values".
