T7 Interface Encryption: Extension of TLS 1.2 support for the ETI and FIX LF interfaces

Release date: 05 Feb 2025

006/2025 T7 Interface Encryption: Extension of TLS 1.2 support for the ETI and FIX LF interfaces Xetra Circular 006/25

1.  Introduction/Details

In Xetra Circular 055/24, Deutsche Börse announced the timeline for the planned discontinuation of support for TLS 1.2. Based on feedback from Trading Participants, Deutsche Börse has decided to extend the parallel support for TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 by an additional 12 months. The extension of the support aims to provide Trading Participants with sufficient time to complete both infrastructure upgrades and application migration tasks and ensure an overall smooth transition to TLS 1.3.

The support for TLS 1.2 will now be withdrawn from 13 March 2026 in the T7 Release 14.0 simulation environment and from 27 April 2026 onwards in the T7 Release 14.0 production environment.

2.  Required action

Trading Participants currently using TLS 1.2 must adapt both their infrastructure and applications to support TLS 1.3 in line with the revised planning.
